The rules of the service.
These terms govern access to and use of ThanksRomy. By creating an account you accept them. They are written to be read: if anything seems ambiguous, write to us and we will answer in writing.
1. The service
ThanksRomy is an online software (SaaS) for startup founders' financial steering, built around Romy, an artificial intelligence. It comes as one free tier and three paid plans, each defined by monthly quotas:
- Starter
- Free, no card required: 20 messages and 1 document per month, 1 GB storage. Enough to judge the product, not to use it daily.
- Solo
- Self-serve Romy, no human review: 1,500 messages and 12 documents per month, 5 GB storage, 60 market-watch queries. Email support.
- Founder
- All of Solo, with 5,000 messages and 30 documents per month, 20 GB storage, 200 market-watch queries and 100 investor searches, plus a monthly human validation by an SBL expert. Email support.
- Growth
- All of Founder, with 100,000 messages and 200 documents per month and 100 GB storage, plus a fractional CFO and compliance advisory engagement delivered by SBL Group partner consultants. Scope and price defined engagement by engagement.
2. What Romy is not
Romy produces analyses, projections and documents from the data you provide. These are decision support, not investment advice, nor legal, tax or accounting advice in the regulatory sense. They do not discharge your obligations towards third parties and replace neither an accountant, nor a statutory auditor, nor regulated advice.
You remain the sole decision-maker. It is up to you to verify figures before sending them to an investor, a bank or an authority.
3. Account
The service is intended for professionals. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for the accuracy of your profile information, Romy reasons on it. One account is for one person; credential sharing is not permitted.
4. Price, billing and payment
- Currency
- Prices shown in US dollars (USD). Payment may be taken in another currency, at your bank's rate.
- Billing cycle
- Monthly, in advance. Each due date covers the month that starts.
- Payment
- By card, through our provider Stripe. No card data passes through or is stored by ThanksRomy.
- Invoices
- Issued at each due date and available from your space.
- Growth
- Billed directly by SBL Group according to the engagement quote agreed with you.
5. Term and cancellation
Solo and Founder are commitment-free: cancel anytime from your space, and access stays open until the end of the month already paid. Upgrading takes effect immediately, prorated; downgrading takes effect the following period.
Started periods are not refunded, except for a prolonged outage attributable to us. We may suspend an account for non-payment or manifestly abusive use, after informing you.
6. Availability and support

- The service runs continuously, excluding announced maintenance. No contractual availability rate is guaranteed to date, on any plan.
- Romy response
- Immediate, 24/7.
- Human validation
- Monthly on the Founder plan, ongoing on Growth.
These levels are best-efforts targets, pursued in good faith, and not a guarantee of result.
7. SBL Group's role
Byteinnov publishes and operates the platform. SBL Group, a regulatory and compliance advisory firm, provides the financial expertise: human validation on the Founder plan and, on Growth, the fractional CFO and compliance engagement. The two companies are legally independent.
SBL Group answers for the quality of the advisory work it delivers to you directly; Byteinnov answers for the platform's operation. A Growth engagement is the subject of a separate contract between SBL Group and you.
8. Ownership
The ThanksRomy brand, the Romy character, the code, the AI models, the prompts and the document templates are the exclusive property of Byteinnov. Your subscription grants you a personal, non-exclusive right of use, for the duration of the subscription.
Your data and the documents produced from it remain yours. You can export and delete them at any time from your profile.
9. Liability
We answer for direct damage caused by our fault. We do not answer for indirect damage: loss of profits, loss of opportunity, commercial harm, nor for the decisions you make in light of the analyses. Our total liability is capped at the amounts you actually paid us over the twelve months preceding the triggering event.
This cap does not apply in case of gross negligence or wilful misconduct, nor in case of breach of our confidentiality or data protection obligations.
10. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms and the price grid. Any unfavourable change will be notified to you at least thirty days before it takes effect; you may cancel free of charge within that period.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by Beninese law, the publisher's jurisdiction. In case of dispute, we will first seek an amicable solution, write to us. contact@byteinnov.com
What happens to your data.
Your data is processed for one purpose only: running the service you asked for. No advertising profiling, no resale, no sharing beyond the technical subprocessors listed below.
Retention
What we keep depends on the kind of data and on your plan. On the free tier, your working history is bounded and the oldest items are deleted automatically. From any paid plan, your dossier is kept as long as your account is active: nothing is deleted without you.
- Conversations
- Free tier: the current conversation plus the 5 most recent archives per language, older ones deleted automatically. Paid plans: kept as long as the account is active.
- Draft documents
- Free tier: the 5 most recent drafts per language, older ones deleted automatically along with their PDF. Paid plans: kept as long as the account is active.
- Documents sent for review
- Kept as long as the account is active, on any plan: a document that was submitted, validated or certified is never deleted automatically.
- Journeys, decisions and action plan
- Kept as long as the account is active, on any plan.
- Market watch
- Last 10 news snapshots and last 6 investor snapshots per language, older ones deleted automatically
- Profile
- Kept as long as the account is active
In every case, you can export or delete your data at any time from your profile. Deleting your account erases everything.
Subprocessors

- Market-watch query (region, vertical) when market watch is enabled
No civil identity data is needed for these analyses: the context sent describes your business, not your identity.
Optional settings
- Usage analytics
- Aggregate product-usage measurement, to improve the product. Can be turned off anytime from your profile.
- Model improvement
- Off by default. If you enable it, anonymized excerpts of your exchanges may be used to improve Romy, never to train third-party models, and never in a form that identifies you.
Security
- Access tokens
- They never leave our servers: your browser only holds an encrypted session cookie.
- Browser
- No financial data is stored in your browser.
- Payment
- No card data passes through ThanksRomy, Stripe handles it alone.
Your rights
- Portability
- Full export of your data as JSON, from your profile
- Erasure
- Account deletion from your profile: profile, conversations, messages, documents, notifications, market watch and billing are purged
- Bank access
- None. Your financial figures are the ones you enter yourself; we do not connect to any bank account.
